The formula is supposed to have a “glowy” finish that is hydrating and gives buildable color with “buildable, glowy shine.” They managed to feel more velvety and glide-on rather than melty and glossy, despite the end result having a moderate about of shine and glow. As a result, the formula was more like a balmy lipstick than a glossy lip balm.
The coverage ranged from semi-sheer to semi-opaque but were generally in the more medium, buildable range, which was in line with the brand’s marketing.
